NEWSKENNEDY CENTER HOSTS FELLOWS FOR INVESTITURE APRIL 21 - 22, 2007The members of the College of Fellows of the American Theatre will gather in Washington DC to welcome new members on April 21 and 22 this year.The new Fellows are:Ben CameronRobyn Baker Flattv Adrian Hall John David Lutz Kathy A. Perkins Luis Miguel Valdez The weekend begins with a grand salute to the new Fellows on Saturday evening, April 22, at the Capital Hilton Hotel with an elegant reception presented by Washington's historic National Theatre and hosted by its Executive Director, Fellow Donn B. Murphy.Ê The reception will be followed with dinner in the hotel's South American Ballroom.Ê The evening will conclude with the traditional Fellows Toast, a salute to Fellows past, present and future. Reservations are required for the dinner and should be made by sending the name (s) of the persons who will be attending along with a check payable to the College of Fellows totaling $80.00 per person. Sunday begins at 9:00 AM with the annual business meeting in the East Atrium of the Kennedy Center, Dean Gil Lazier presiding. MARTHA COIGNEY WILL DELIVER THE ROGER L. STEVENS ADDRESSFollowing the business meeting the Fellows will hear the Roger L. Stevens Address by Martha Coigney, described at her investiture in 1990 as "a volcano of energy."Ê She joined the U.S. Center for the ITI, became its president and traveled worldwide articulating the aspirations of the world theatre community.The Stevens Address will be followed by the Investiture Luncheon in the Central Atrium of the Kennedy Center at which time the six new Fellows will be invested receiving their medallions and citations. Reservations for the Investiture Luncheon are required and should be made sending the name (s) of the persons who will be attending alonw with a check payable to the KC/ACTF totaling $75.00 per person.
