The Fellowship
The College of Fellows of the American Theatre, in partnership with the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival (KCACTF) and the Eugene O’Neill Theater Center, is proud to announce the inauguration of THE AUGUST WILSON FELLOWSHIP IN THEATRICAL PRODUCTION for Students of Color in Design and Theatre Technology. The fellowship was created to bolster emerging BIPOC theatre professionals by providing opportunities at the highest level of immersive training and practice in technical theatre, theatre production, and design in a professional workplace.
The Impact
The urgent need for programs that nurture the next generation of technical, production, and design BIPOC theatre professionals extends throughout the entire nation. In particular, the dearth of skilled, experienced BIPOC technical/production technicians and designers continues to be an issue of national concern.
